Getting Started:

7punches
and Time Clocking

If you are using 7punches for time-clocking (or have a POS integration that includes Actual Labor), timesheet information is automatically exported into Premier Payroll Solutions after each pay period ends.

⚠️ Access to this integration may require an upgrade from your existing plan.

Enabling Integration

⚠️ Premier Payroll Solutions communicates with your 7shifts account via an API connection and any settings for this integration will be managed from your Premier Payroll Solutions account.

Sign in to your 7shifts Account.

Navigate to this link to select an Account and generate a token.

Click Grant Access.

Copy your token and provide Premier Payroll Solutions to complete the setup.

Preparing your Payroll Data

In the left navigation bar, select the 'Time Clocking' tab, and the appropriate Pay Period.

From there, review and 'Approve' or 'Edit' punches, or choose to 'Approve All.'

For multi-Location users, you can also choose to sort by Location and approve punches by Location.

Once you've approved all punches, you can close the Timesheet.

To close the Timesheet, select ‘Close Timesheet’ in the top right corner.

Go to Premier Payroll Solutions website, where you will need to sign in with Admin credentials under client login.

Once the Timesheet is closed at the end of each pay period, the total hours will push into Premier Payroll grid.

From the grid additional hours and/or wages can be added.
  • Navigate to the payroll grid or the employee pay entry screen.
  • Identify the employee for whom you want to add hours or wages
  • In the appropriate row corresponding to the employee column for hours (e.g., pto, vacation). If additional wages find the appropriate field (e.g., bonuses, commissions) enter the amount.

Review Payroll Summary before completing. Ready for processing.

Including Tips

  • Accounts using a supported POS integration will be able to send their tip data to 7shifts. Tip information can be included with your time-clocking data when pushing payroll to Premier.
  • If you manage tips separately, we can configure or provide template for mass importing of tips (system can import multiple templates).
